Unless you’ve been living under a rock without cable television or human interaction you should know all about the Nintendo Wii video gaming system. The Wii is the first interactive gaming system of it’s kind. The system comes with the Wii Sports game that includes bowling, boxing, golf, baseball and tennis. Using the wireless remote simulates playing the sport by swinging, batting, pitching, etc… It’s really fun and gets your butt off the couch.
One guy decided to put the Wii to the test. He outlined a six week game plan for himself, the idea being that he would continue all normal activity and eating habits, but simply add 30 minutes of Wii Sports to his day. He started out at the 180 pounds (the weight he had been for the past 2 years) and throughout the month and a half he kept track of the following.
- Weight
- BMI
- Calories burned per session/per game
- Body fat %
- Heart Rate (at rest)
- Wii Fitness Age
- Additional Notes/Soreness
The result: He lost a total of 15 pounds in 41 days! Here are the before and after photos:

Just hours after the announcement of Mark Wahlberg’s Oscar nomination TMZ reports that he was spotted at a Whole Foods Supermarket. He reportedly bought a vitamin water and a salad from the salad bar. Wahlberg was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for “The Departed.” You would think he’d be celebrating with a gourmet meal at a super fancy restaurant. See men can eat salad too, props to Mark for the healthy choice!

There were rumors going around that the professional football player Matt Leinart had hooked up with Britney Spears. According to sources Leinart denies the rumor and claims that Britney is NOT his type.
